Autumn Joy

I LOVE Autumn! It is the most beautiful time of year! I love the cool, crisp, fresh air under a perfect blue sky and full sun... I love the yellow, orange and red leaves on the trees... and I love the way life feels like it is slowing down just a little as we ready ourselves to nest and hibernate in our toasty homes for the winter.

This song, in fact the whole album ('The Eraser' - Thom Yorke), is the perfect soundtrack to my autumn weekends. I love to play this album in the car as I drive out to a nice cafe for a lazy breakfast with my love. One cafe I love to go to, but unfortunately haven't been to for a while, is Kanteen in South Yarra. Situated along the Yarra River and busy Yarra Trail it is a delicious little treat to have.

Morning moods

I love this song by James Blake ('Limit to your love' - Mokhov Soulful Dubstep remix). So cruisy and laid-back. I liked the original version by Feist first but I think this guy does it justice.

Maternity Leave Bliss

Maternity leave is lovely! No work! I can go at my own pace and do the things I want/need to do all in my own good time. I'm going to savour every day of this as I wait for the day when I meet little Cuddles. Dr Zap and I are soooooo excited to be parents... it's really incredible that we have been entrusted with such a beautiful and precious gift!

Another dull day

It's just the beginning of March and it's only 18 degrees outside... the weather has been rather dull of late with the sun is always hiding behind grey clouds. Oh well, I'm just thankful it's not 40 degrees! Then I'd really be complaining! I love the temperature, just wish I could see a little more sunshine for any trace of summer has gone. Anyways, enjoy this song... Most definately one of my favourite songs at the moment. When I hear it I imagine I should be in a car travelling deep into the countryside without a care to where I am going and how long I'll be. Happy Friday!

Ok so the reason why this is my favourite love song? Well it's pretty simple really. You see I was listening to Clare Bowditch's album 'The Moon Looked On' quite obsessively around the time Doctor Zap and I began dating over three years ago. The lyrics in this song quite rightly described how I felt at the time... Enjoy!
